Off Road Race Canada is proud to announce that we have our first project race vehicle! Baja North from Kamloops, BC is building a desert race Ford Bronco that they have dubbed Baja Bronco 3.0 and they have invited the Off Road Race Bronco readers to follow along on the buildup!
The buildup is named Baja Bronco 3.0 because this is the third race version of this Bronco. The first version, pictured above, was built by Ed Burnap in Oregon. Ed campaigned the Bronco thoughout the 70′s and 80′s with a huge amount of success. In the early to mid 90′s, Dave Fahimi from BC bought the Bronco and did a frame up rebuild, aka buildup #2. The beautiful race truck could have won awards at car shows it was that nice! Dave raced it at short course races in Kamloops BC for a few years before a huge rollover crash. The Bronco sat behind the shop at Baja North for a few years before Dave commissioned them to build version 3.0. This version, as you will see, will combine the best of old school looks with new school technology. Follow along in the next few months as the crew at Baja North start from a frame and create a killer Class 3 desert race Ford Bronco!
