Ontario Mini Rod Pullers Association

A few weeks ago, I met Dean Morrison and Colleen Sarkisian from the
Ontario Mini Rod Pullers Association at a convention. The main objective in truck and tractor pulling is to pull the sled farther down the track than your competition. As your tractor moves along the track, the sled transfers weight from the back wheels of the sled to the front via a series of chains and transmissions. The farther up the sled the weight moves, the more drag is created. Therefore, the farther you go, the heavier the load becomes.

The mini tractor pulling club has 3 classes with engines ranging from mild small blocks to alcohol injected, big blocks with blowers and turbos! This allows members to participate at a level that matches their pocketbook and/or experience. With the recent popularity rise in diesel performance, I am wondering when the OMRPA will introduce a 4 cylinder diesel class. I know there is a lot of industrial 4 cylinder diesels out there…
